Meet our new Massage Therapist, Julie Stevens! Massage therapy is Julie’s second career which she entered into after sustaining a string of triathlon-related i...njuries in 2012. Wanting to learn more about why these injuries happened and what she could do to prevent them from continuing, Julie completed Lansing Community College’s Therapeutic Massage certification program in 2013 and continues to use what she learned to heal her body and help others do the same. She also has an associate’s degree in exercise science from LCC and is a certified personal trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine and Graston Technique Provider with the Graston Technique. Her specialty is working with clients with hypermobility and she has a wide range of experiences dealing with clients such as office workers with low back and shoulder pain, to those dealing with chronic pain issues such as degenerative disk disease, as well as surgery recoveries such as hip and knee replacements and working with athletes, including marathon runners. To schedule an appointment, call us at 517-337-3080
As of November 1st, I now work for Compass Rehabilitation; a pain clinic with MDs, DOs, PTs, an OT, pain psychologist, chiropractor, and now me (massage therapist). I am beyond thrilled to be working in a medical clinic and am absolutely loving it so far. I’m 2 days a week right now (Tuesdays and Wednesdays), but hopefully I can grow to full time by Summer! Call the front desk to set up an appointment!
Who wants a massage??!? Come find me in the classroom at the MGLI Draft Show. You won’t be sorry!
