Came across some of my old course manuals from some years ago. Two were from my visit to Thailand in 2012 @ongsmassageschool, when we could actually visit other countries This will keep me busy in the evening throughout lockdown! #coursereview #lockdownstudies #lockdownlearning #edinburghmassagetherapist

It’s so nice to receive messages like this. I am missing doing treatments, and seeing my lovely clients and work colleagues at Neal's Yard Remedies Edinburgh too.

Dried foxglove stem over Edinburgh from #holyroodpark on my morning walk. Who knew a dead, dried stem could be so beautiful. #lockdownwalks #edinburghplants #edinburghnature #edinburgh

Frosty flowers... I spotted some Calendula (Marigold) flowers in a community gardening during my morning walk. I frequently infused these flowers in olive oil, which I then combine with melted beeswax, avocado and coconut oil to make a balm for winter hands! It also works well for over-washed hands, which are all to common at the moment. #themeadowsedinburgh #flowermedicine #edinburghcommunitygarden #handbalm #herbalbalm #marigold #calendula #edinburghherbalist #edinburghflowers #frostymorning

I was happy to write about one of my favourite spots in Dunkeld and Birnam for The Guardian as part of the article ‘My favourite place among the trees’. We have been visiting for years now, it really is one of my favourite places. Take a look at what some of the other contributors from For The Love of Trees say too, some great ideas for tree-trips!

I feel so lucky to have contributed, be it just in a small way, to this beautiful book. We need these kinds of books at the moment - the photos are so beautiful and reading people’s stories about their relationship to trees is pretty awesome - joyful, sad, and inspirational all at the same time! There is quite a selection of people too, including the inspirational Pavithra Atul Sarma, and some famous faces that you will recognise. Thank you to Anna Deacon Photography and Vi...cky Allen for delivering this! As a Herbalist and Aromatherapist I frequently use medicine from trees to treat my patients. It’s fair to say that I would struggle to avoid the use of tree medicines in my practice. Elderberry, Elderflower, Limeflower, Birch, Oak, Apple, Alder, Pine, Hawthorn flowers and berries.....the list goes on. Let’s take care of our trees, we need them!

Myself and Joseph Nolan were interviewed by the lovely Saori Ishimaru for Aromatopia about our Herbal and Massage practices. The article included a photo taken by Anna Deacon of me with one of my favourite Hawthorn trees at at Corstorphine Hill, taken for For The Love of Trees, which is available for pre-order now!

Morning tea dispensing. This one is a mix of calendula, plantain, rose, marshmallow, meadowsweet, and lemon verbena, to soothe and heal the gut lining and bring a bit of cheer . #edinburghherbalist #herbsforguthealing #happyherbs #herbalistsofinstagram #guthealing
